The Sculptures of Hittite Gods

Two weeks ago, (February 25), I introduced a series of photos, taken in the ancient region of Yazilikaya Turkey. This area was once populated by the Hittite culture, of which very little is known of their historical development and technology. We return to the site with new photos of highly anomalous reliefs impressed into solid granite rock showing a series of figure in a procession. The area remains a fascination for me, and as you will see many of the reliefs are one of a kind. The sculptures are dedicated to Hittite Gods, and in a couple of depictions, we can see what can only be considered attempts at showing technology of an advanced culture (Gods.) - Cliff Dunning — Lost Technology of Hittite Gods (19 photos)
