Not a Basebell Player

There are a number of reproduced artifacts, currently being circulating, which are labeled, by the perspectives of an academic scholarship, blinded by a tradition which refuses to look beyond an outdated view of the ancient world. In our example, (found on eBay) a highly anomalous figure has been labeled as a ballplayer and was discovered in Central Mexico a number of decades ago. What the observer has failed to notes is the individual’s unusually elongated head and interesting headgear (or hair style.) We seriously doubt that the figure is a ballplayer, and the object under his arm…a ball. He actually looks a little overweight by our standards, (limited physical activity.) — More than Meets the Eye (6 photos)
