Stone Chamber in Massachusetts
One of several stone chambers in the town of Shuttesbury, Massachusetts. In all my years researching these structures, I have yet to encounter a town record, land deed , diary entry or account of any kind that describes a colonist building one of these hundreds of chambers. Other than theories claiming these are root cellars, skeptics have been unable to explain these structures away.
